Nicolás López, born in Peru 35 years ago, is one of those painters you only meet once in a while and doesn’t leave you indifferent. He paints as if his life depended of it, as if there was no tomorrow. Actually this is his oxygen to breath and express what he has inside. Nicolas takes you by the hand along the path of the water, in permanent dialogue with him. Nicolas is a painter who breaks most rules, without aiming to do so. His free spirit obeys the laws of nature and ultimately to the water, which is the real main character. Instead of trying to control or manipulate it.

After exploring several techniques, I had this special connection with watercolor because I can feel a poetical spirit with what water represents to me.
