This is a wonderful opportunity to spend a week combining watercolour painting with the delights of the Bay of Roses resort of Sta. Margarida, just a stone's throw from Cadaqués, the seaside town that captured Dali's heart and filled him with inspiration. Situated in the Natural Park of CAP DE CREUS, the most oriental part of Spain where nature is powerful and unspoilt. Alvaro Castagnet also fell in love with this area, so much that he chose it for his new DVD. We will be staying at the Hotel Victoria (from the Prestige Group-www.prestigehotels.com), which is situated on the sea front. Your itinerary will include the historic City of Girona, the medieval towns of Besalú and Castelló D'Empúries and Dali's seaside home town Cadaqués. Each day your tutor will demonstrate at the start of the morning and/or afternoon. The remainder of the day students will be encouraged to paint subjects of their own choosing, with the expert help and tuition of the tutor. Back at the hotel evening critiques will sum up the day. This will be followed by a buffet dinner and wine. For the energetic there is dancing and other shows organised by the hotel. You may prefer a quiet drink in one of the local tavernas or you may wish to recharge your batteries with an early night in anticipation of another exciting day.
